Even Jesus began the day this way: “in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out... and there prayed” (Mark 1:35). A morning rhythm does not need to be long to be real.
- Start before the scroll. Turn to God before the phone's noise. One minute counts.
- Name how you wake. Grateful, anxious, tired—tell God plainly. It is honest prayer.
- Pray one line of Scripture. Keep a few words, spoken slowly, rather than a chapter rushed.
- Hand over the day. Ask for what this day needs, and release what it does not.
