Welcome to Renew. These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and NomNomSom, LLC ("NomNomSom," "we," "us") and govern your use of the Renew application and website at renewapp.io, including our mobile applications (together, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
Renew offers Scripture reading and reflection: Bible passages selected around how you're feeling, historical context, narrated readings, Bible studies, prayer journaling, and guided meditations. Narration and meditations are generated with artificial-intelligence text and speech tools centered on the Bible passage you choose.
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. You can use Renew and subscribe as a guest, without providing registration information, or sign in with Google or Apple. A guest subscription uses a non-personal anonymous purchase identifier for validation; your app preferences and history stay on your device. You're responsible for activity that happens through an account you choose to create and for keeping access to it secure. Information you provide must be accurate.
The free tier currently includes a selection of emotions, shorter meditations, one Bible translation, and daily limits on verses and Bible studies. We may adjust what the free tier includes at any time.
Meditations, reflections, historical context, and study notes in Renew are generated by AI and are offered as devotional aids. They may occasionally be inaccurate or incomplete, and they are not medical, mental-health, legal, or financial advice, and not a substitute for care from a qualified professional or for pastoral counsel. If you are in crisis, please contact a qualified professional or emergency services.
Bible translations in Renew are used under their respective licenses, including the New King James Version® (© 1982 by Thomas Nelson, used by permission) and the New International Version® (© Biblica, Inc., used by permission); the World English Bible is in the public domain. Renew's app content, design, and generated audio are provided for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not extract, scrape, redistribute, or resell Scripture text, generated audio, or other content from the Service.
Prayer requests, feedback, and other content you submit remain yours. You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display that content back to you as needed to operate the Service. Don't submit content that is unlawful or that you don't have the right to share.
You agree not to misuse the Service — including attempting to bypass subscription or usage limits, probing or disrupting our systems, scraping content, reverse engineering the apps, or using the Service to violate any law or the rights of others. We may suspend or terminate access that violates these Terms.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that generated content will meet your expectations.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, NomNomSom, LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or lost profits or data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of $50 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
You agree to indemnify and hold NomNomSom, LLC harmless from claims arising out of your content or your violation of these Terms.
You may stop using the Service or delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate the Service or your access to it for violation of these Terms, and we may discontinue the Service with reasonable notice. Sections that by their nature should survive (including 6, 7, and 9–13) survive termination.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes we'll take reasonable steps to notify you (for example, in the app). Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
